Tallinn, Estonia – From September 9 to 12, the Learning, Teaching, Training Activity (LTTA) of the EGOV4YOUTH project took place at Tal Tech University in Tallinn, providing an important opportunity for international exchange, intergenerational dialogue, and digital innovation.

The activities were carried out in collaboration with the six European partners of the project, involving a total of 42 participants from Italy, Norway, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, and Bulgaria. This international dimension enriched the program’s content, encouraging the exchange of diverse perspectives and the development of shared ideas, in line with the project’s mission: creating spaces for constructive dialogue between young people and public administrations on e-government and youth civic participation.

The program was structured over four intensive days, combining training and exchange activities:

  • Workshops and group activities, stimulating reflections and innovative proposals on digital citizenship models;
  • Institutional visits, providing first-hand insight into Estonia’s advanced digital practices, as one of the most digitally developed countries in the world;
  • Networking and best practice exchanges, fostering the creation of long-lasting connections among participants.

One tangible output of the program will be the drafting of a recommendation paper, resulting from the joint work, which will feed into the development of the EGOV digital platform, the next step of the project.

The EGOV4YOUTH project is based on the understanding that digital transformation is not only a technological issue but also a social and cultural one. The main objectives of the project are:

  • Strengthening the digital skills of NEET youth, providing training and practical tools to reduce the risk of social exclusion and create new growth opportunities;
  • Promoting collaboration between citizens and public institutions, encouraging direct and participatory dialogue between young people and administrations;
  • Developing innovative tools for civic participation, through digital platforms and applications that make youth involvement in local and community policies simple, accessible, and transparent;
  • Building lasting networks among civil society, administrations, and the private sector, creating an ecosystem that supports youth participation and innovation even after the conclusion of the Erasmus+ project.

In this way, EGOV4YOUTH confirms itself as a European laboratory of ideas and practices that places young people at the center, recognizing them not only as policy recipients but as active agents of social change; it goes beyond training, transforming young people from mere users of public services into protagonists of digital citizenship, fostering skills, innovation, and international cooperation.
